Gunther Eastwood

History

Gunther was born in the lone star state of Texas. His parents are both extremists that despise anything that contradicts or goes against their beliefs. Due to his parents embarrassing him constantly as a kid for their beliefs and harsh parenting, he grew to dislike them. However, he was too afraid to stand up to them. His father in particular forced the need for unquestioning obedience. As he got older, his mom and dad began to worsen their harsh treatment. The stress and depression weakened Gunther's will and caused him to grow quiet, cold, and submissive.

One day, members of the Matterhorns arrived in his town seeking to recruit new followers. Gunther's parents were enchanted by the powerful, mysterious people and immediately accepted the offer to join them. The family quickly moved to Lusta Oklahoma where the cult's leader lived. 

​

Gunther was forced into the cult's teachings, and despite doubting their ways, his fear of rage from the higher ups kept him in check. However, on the streets, he couldn't help but notice very strange people that enlightened his spirits. Young people his age that dressed in black clothing, spiked cuffs, surreal accessories, and dark makeup. 

​

One day, he asked the leader of the Matterhorns, Baron Jones, about the strange people that he couldn't help but be intrigued by. Baron told him in a stern, frightening tone that those people were devil worshipers that were like a plague poisoning the purity of the world. Gunther was shocked, not daring to question the cult leader's intimidating words. 

​

Weeks later, Baron came to Gunther asking for him to complete a special mission. He ordered him to infiltrate the Burrow, an underground town for the abnormal and 'freaks,' and learn of all its secrets so they can one day take control of it. Wanting to gain respect and mercy from the cult leader he feared, Gunther agreed. The cult provided him with clothes to blend into the gothic, emo, punk, and hippie crowd. To his surprise, he felt good wearing the fashion.

Upon entering the underground town, he felt a sense of awakening when he saw the neon lights and was surrounded by all the people. The deeper he walked inside, the more he wanted to stay. He began talking to people, and they were surprisingly welcoming. Some even showed concern as they sensed his insecurities and doubts. 

​

He explored the Burrow for hours. At night, he stumbled into a club and witnessed Drew Cable performing another one of his staged torture acts. Mesmerized by the performance, seeing Drew as an incredibly strong and brave individual, he decided to speak to him after the show. 

​

Upon meeting Drew for the first time, Drew realized he was new to the abnormal scene and gave a detailed explanation of his performances and how they worked. He could tell Gunther seemed lost and doubtful in life, and promised to give him a tour tomorrow evening. Gunther accepted his offer and promised to come back.

​

When he returned home, Baron asked him for the information he gathered. No longer feeling fear for the cult leader, but rather a desire for freedom and self-worth, he lied to him. He provided false information. 

​

Since then, Gunther has acted as a double agent for the Under Dwellers. Spying on the Matterhorns while pretending to be a spy for them. He grew to love tattoo art, fashion, and custom motorized bikes. 

​

He no longer fears the Matterhorns, and anticipates the day they will fall and pay for their misdeeds.

Personality

Thanks to the influence and inspiration of the Burrow, Gunther is pretty fearless and refuses to let bad things slide. He is not afraid to fight to protect his loved ones and stand up for what is right. 

​

He rarely smiles or laughs and is quite serious in most situations, but deep down he has a kind heart. 

​

Despite his serious nature, Gunther usually keeps his composure in all tight situations. He is usually the one to break up fights among his friends and others.
