Hybreeds

Hybreeds are the civilized, intelligent people of Mother Earth. Various animals evolved to human-like forms. Created by the two gods of the planet, Hybreeds are meant to be civilized beings who do not need violence or animalistic acts to survive. The goddess of life, Maya, was inspired to create them after observing humans on another planet.

Filled with hope that there could be life with no need for bloodshed or a stressful fight for survival, she and the god of death, Malum, selected a vast number of animals to evolve into civilized beings.

Not merely anthros, Hybreeds are human-like animals in a league of their own in both society, physical bodies, and similarities to humans.

Furries and Scalies

Hybreeds are divided into two groups. Mammals, known as furries, and reptiles, called scalies. Both these groups follow the same basic body structure of all hybreeds.

Human faces and bodies. No muzzles, no long snouts, no exaggerated facial features no matter the species. For example, crocodile and alligator hybreeds have normal human faces and no elongated mouths.

There are several animal features Hybreeds have to identify their animal species.

Tails

The vast majority of hybreeds have animal tails. Tails are one of the most proficient way to identify a person's species besides ears and bodies.

Tails can be thin and slender, bushy and thick, fluffy and short, scaly and long, or spiny and bumpy.

It all depends on the species.

Ears

All furry Hybreeds have animal ears that match their species. They can be long and floppy, short and round, or big and pointy.

Sometimes ears can have a lot of variety depending on the parent of the person. For example, a rat hybreed with a rabbit parent might have larger ears than normal, while a bear parent might make their ears smaller.

Scalies do not have ears like this. Their ears are merely small, barely noticeable holes on the sides of their heads.

Most scalies try to hide their reptilian ears with their hair

Hands

Hybreed hands also have a lot of variety. Both furries and scalies can have claws while some do not. Length, strength, and shape depend on the species.

Hybreeds of hooved species like deer, goats, gazelle, and rams have hands and toes with rough, thick, dull nails that are made of material similar to hooves.

Some claws are rectangular like rats, bears, and possums while some are sharp and triangular like tigers, iguanas, and wolves.

Depending on a person's parent, they could have different claws than usual. A rabbit with panther ancestry can have sharp, triangular claws

Horns

Hybreed horns and antlers are strong and thick. Rarely are they used as weapons in a fight.

Teeth

A hybreedsteeth are different depending on whether they are a carnivore, herbivore, or omnivore.

Carnivores are long and sharp, herbivores are dull and flat, and omnivores are a combination of both.

Scaly Feet

Furries have human shaped feet, but most scalies have feet resembling reptiles and amphibians. Long toes, webbed toes, thick toes, and large feet. Most scalies do not wear shoes because of this.

All except for snake hybreeds, who have human shaped feet.

Body Proportions

Unlike most anthropomorphic animals, a hybreed's species does not determine their body proportions.

Rabbit hybreeds can be six and a half feet tall and muscular like a basketball player, mice hybreeds can be buff bodybuilders, crocodile hybreeds can be skinny and short, and tiger hybreeds can be chubby. It is highly dependent on genetics besides their animal species.

Their bodies are primarily human shaped besides the animal features. Like humans, their body type depends on genetics, diet, and exercise.

Carnivores, Herbivores, and Omnivores

Like animals and unlike humans, hybreeds are either carnivores, herbivores, or omnivores. It depends on their nutritional requirements and teeth types.

Since ordinary animals exist on Mother Earth, having meat readily available is not a problem for carnivores.

Herbivores can't eat meat, but are capable of eating dairy, grains, and sweets.

Omnivores can eat any food and merely have personal preferences.

Cannibalism

In many worlds of anthropomorphic animals, there are practices and past times of eating each other. In movies and shows like Zootopia and Beastars, the anthros are divided into groups based on that. Whether it be predator and prey or herbivores and carnivores.

On Mother Earth, though, hybreeds eating each other is as controversial as human cannibalism. In fact, it is a serious crime in nearly all places in the world. Since food of all kinds is available, hybreed cannibalism is considered murderous and beastly.
