Story:

Though she lives in the richest district of Ruleroar, Laylee has always had an unfortunately hard life. Primarily because of her overbearing, strict, cruel mother. He mother defies the Age of the Atmosphere and still believes in power, prestige purity, and perfection. All through Laylee's childhood she pushed her to accel in all talents and academics she deemed worthy of praise from others. Often, she would force Laylee to play the piano all night long without sleeping.

One day, at the age of ten, in a trance of deep depression, she accidentally slipped off a railing she was sitting on and fell into an artificial stream in Ruleroar meant for collecting water from the Elivisa river. Thanks to her oceanic bloodline background, she managed to tread water and scream for help long enough for someone to find her. It was Skydan. ​

Skydan quickly flew in to pull her out of the stream. Laylee thanked him for saving her. Skydan then surprised her when he called her by her name before she could introduce herself. Skydan explained that he knew her from King Vondere, his guardian. He explained that her mother always went on and on about how talented and prestigious her daughter was. Laylee frowned and told Skydan the truth about how horribly she was treated her whole life.

Disgusted by the actions and beliefs of Laylee's mother, Skydan told her that in the Age of the Atmosphere, the people of Lorstar was smart and kind enough to know power and prestige do not offer better health or a longer life. Laylee told him her mother was not convinced. In her mind, the Age of the Atmosphere was filled with lies and was only a way to weaken attempt to brainwash the younger generation into being weak and pathetic.

As Skydan and Laylee talked more, she became emotionally stronger. She grew capable of standing up to her mother and refusing to do as she said. When her mother threatened to throw her out on the street, Laylee pointed out doing so would disgrace her social status. She reminded her she could not deny the Age of the Atmosphere, and there will always be thousands of people who will hate her for her cruelty.

Laylee grew closer and closer to Skydan and his friends and they eventually became a group known as the Skyhoods. Laylee was known as the pretty, joyful, intelligent member of the ground.

Powers and Abilities:

Being rather fragile and due to not have proper training at an early age, Laylee's melee combat skills are a bit lacking. ​A little below average. However, she is still strong and has impressive speed thanks to her slender physique. Now that she is attending Drakadyo Academy, she is getting the training she needs to improve in her melee combat skills.​

​

Her lightning element is quite powerful as she did recieve special training through her life. Still, due to a lack of confidence she is only slightly above average. Her light blue lightning is very bright and can temporarily blind and disorient opponents. Her best skill is constant surges of electricity to paralyze and burn opponents. She can also produce electric orbs to fire and explode to attack multiple opponents. A skill the lightning master, Astravolt, taught her.

Laylee is most well known for the power of her brilliant mind. Her knowledge of science often impresses even professors at the academy. She often uses her intelligence to help others in countless different predicaments and to prove things right and wrong. She especially likes using her knowledge of biology to explain the truths of the Age of the Atmosphere.

Personality

During her childhood, Laylee was very sad due to her mother's abuse. However, after meeting and befriending Skydan and his friends, her personality completely changes. Now she is an incredibly joyful young woman who almost always smiles and loves being kind to others. 

​

However, there are times Laylee shows a bit of an angry side. She is not timid and is not afraid to stand up for herself or her loved ones. 

​

Extra Facts:

Laylee is a great swimmer and has tail flukes because her grandfather on her father's side was a merman. She dreams of one day meeting him.
