Story:

Kayo's childhood was bittersweet. His parents were very neglectful, but his elderly grandparents were kind and cared for him most of his early years. Sadly, when he was 13, his grandparents' health began to decline. He cared for them the best he could, but eventually they both died of old age. With no other relatives to take him in, Kayo was forced to move back in with his parents. Unsurprisingly, his parents separated after years of a volatile marriage. Left alone with his alcoholic mother, Kayo's mental health deteriorated.

His emotions began to fade from suppressed sadness and left him cold and impassive. Though he was miserable deep down, to some others around him, his cool, composed, enigmatic personality was seen as highly appealing. Especially the friend group known as the Skyhoods.
​
When Kayo was 18, he was approached by Skydan the Sky Blue Warrior. Knowing who the young dragonman was, Kayo actually paid attention to his words towards him. He was pleasantly surprised when Skydan complimented him for his personality, calling him cool and composed. Though Kayo's deadpan aura did not show it, he was touched by Skydan's kind words.

Over time, the Skyhoods continued to warm Kayo's heart with their kindness. Their admiration of him and the fact that he was older than them made him feel like a big brother figure to them. Eventually, Kayo became an official member of their group.

Acting as the voice of calm and the mature member of their friendship bond, Kayo can be a bit bossy, strict, and protective. Still, his calm, stone-faced personality never fails to bring a sense of peace to his friends.

Powers and Abilities:

Due to his tall stature and strong build, Kayo is quite powerful in physical combat. He tends to value power over speed slightly, but this is never an issue in battles. He knows above average combat moves such as tail strikes, quick dodges, claw swipes, and basic fighting stances.
​
Kayo's element is ice. It is mostly white with a light blue core. Due to his parents' neglect, Kayo spent a lot of his free time strengthening his element. This allowed his ice to grow far stronger than average. Fueled by the pain of his suppressed emotions, he channeled the energy to create colder, thicker ice. He can breathe it great distances and produce twisting whirls of ice that can envelope opponents. Whipping his body like a tornado, he can summon a twister of ice. He can also encase his claws and tail blade in ice to strengthen his melee attacks.

By far Kayo's most infamous skill in combat is the psychological impact his deadpan, aloof, unemotional personality has on his foes. His lack of emotion in battle tends to anger, annoy, or even frighten opponents. Especially dark fairies. Only the most mature and composed of opponents are unaffected by the coldness of Kayo's icy, vague expression in battle.

Personality
Kayo is always seen cool, calm, composed, and with narrowed eyes and no smile. His emotionless, enigmatic calm is one of the reasons his friends are drawn to him. If he were to ever smile, laugh, yell, or cry, everyone would stare in awe and shock. Known as The Frozen, Kayo never loses his cool unless absolutely necessary. His friends can only count on one hand the amount of times his emotions went wild.

Extra Facts:

Kayo has a rather comical fear of frogs. He sees them as 'slimy, bumpy, sticky tongued, filthy critters.' His friends often like to tease him with live frogs when they're in the mood to see him lose his composure.
​
Surprisingly, Kayo does have a sense of humor. However, the only jokes he seems to react to are very sexual in nature. His friends do not bother to awaken this side to him.
