Story:

Lumina was born into the Venom Clan. All her life she was belittled, underestimated, and underappreciated. All because she is a woman. The men of the Venom Clan have very sexist beliefs. Seeing women as people who always needed protection, gentle care, and were meant to stand behind their male protectors. Lumina was disgusted by her mother and grandmother's submissive behavior towards her father. She loved the idea of being strong but had no support from the clan. Though her father believed she was showing her kindness by reassuring her he would always protect her and take care of her, Lumina always felt degraded by his demeaning treatment. She wanted to protect herself.

Against the clan's advice, she trained hard in her abilities with the young clan warriors her age. The girls thought she was crazy to pick fights with the men.

​

One day, the evil Blood Hunters found their clan's hiding place and attacked their village. During the battle, Lumina's mother and grandmother were killed. Since then, Lumina swore she would continue to strive to be strong so she could protect herself along with her loved ones. 

​

Years later, after an argument with her father, Lumina left the village to vent out her frustrations. She then encountered a marineman teen named Gilltom. She quickly recognized him from rumors she heard of the Pearl Clan's new member. Wanting to test her strength, she challenged him to a battle. 

​

The fight was not ferocious or violent, but fun and exciting. In the end, Gilltom won when he pinned Lumina down. As he leaned over her, a wave of infatuation hit him. Lumina felt the same as she looked in his eyes. Realizing Gilltom did not go easy on her, she learned he was a man who believed in her strength. 

​

It was love at first fight.

​

As time passed and they spent more time together, they grew closer and closer. One day, the Deep Blue Band visited the Venom Clan to negotiate a new law deal. The meeting went sour and ended with the Band storming out in anger and disgust. During this meeting, it was revealed that Gilltom was a former Blood Hunter. This caused Lumina to develop a sense of distrust with him.

Days later, Gilltom tried to apologize to Lumina, but she refused to listen to him. However, her father stepped in and attempted to manipulate Lumina. Gilltom retaliated, defending her from his cruel words. This resulted in a fight between them. Her father had Gilltom pinned, speaking despicable, sexist remarks. Enraged, Lumina attacked her father to help Gilltom. She and Gilltom then teamed up and defeated him. The Venom Clan then swarmed them, ready to attack. Then, the Venom Clan leader, an elderly marineman woman, stopped them. She told Lumina to leave the clan and join Gilltom to avoid punishment. Lumina agreed, packed up her belongings, and moved to the village where Gilltom and his friends lived.

Gilltom allowed her to live in his house with him. As time went on and they spent more time together, they fell in love. Acknowledging each other's strength, they make a tremendous team.

Powers and Abilities:

Lumina's physical combat skills are well above average for women her age. Her skills in speed, grace, and underwater acrobatics are highly advanced. She can make complex maneuvers and attacks that would surprise and bewilder most opponents. Backflips, summersaults, spins, cartwheels, roundhouse kicks, axe kicks, karate chops, and backflip kicks are easy moves for her skills. 

​

Her water element is highly toxic and is similar to poison. It can cause instant pain and weakness from exposure and contact. Lumina can manipulate her water into multiple shapes and variants. Her signature elemental attack is a sea snake whip that can lash at and smash opponents. 

​

Like several members of the Venom clan, Lumina's fin spines and claws are laced with venom. Her claws can deliver deep cuts that cause burning, stinging pains and slight weakness.

Personality

​

Lumina is overall a fun lover who enjoys a good thrill and laugh. There are times when she enjoys peaceful moments, but she can't stay bored for long. 

 

She is very headstrong and prefers to hold her own in a fight and tough situations. Her dream is to prove herself as a strong warrior woman that does not need men to take care of her like a helpless, frail person.
