Story:
​
​Many people often see volcanions as powerful, proud, passionate people who are dedicated to their culture. Many admire them for this. Among his fellow volcanions, though, Pyrox was never seen as special. His family is small and has little status in the volcanion community of Rownland. Though he was always included in the rituals and events of his village, most of the stronger, richer volcanions would turn away from him.

All his life Pyrox hid his frustrations of not being respected and noticed for his talents. Especially to himself. Searching for companionship and some self-confidence, he often ventured away from the volcanic lands of Obsinderis in search of friends and possibly love.
​
One day, at the age of 16, he found friendship when he encountered Chess and Spade searching for ore in the Coppercone Mines. The two were being attacked by cave mantises and Pyrox instantly incinerated the giant insects with his fire. Chess and Spade thanked him, praising him for his incredibly elemental power.
Needless to say, Pyrox appreciated their appreciation. Treatment he never received from the stronger warriors of his village.
Over time, Pyrox encountered Chess and his friends The Hillanders more often on his adventures away from home. One day, The Hillanders invited him to join them on a trip to the Floret Isle for trading goods. Pyrox happily accepted the invitation.

Sadly, upon arriving on the island, primarily inhabited by beautiful floraliens, the plant people were not fond of a being of fire exploring their island. However, one floralien was not frightened, but curious about him. Her name was Rosytha. The rose floralien watched the volcanion from a distance for a while, until she finally gained the courage to approach him. She greeted him, and they talked while sitting on some mushrooms. Rosytha was full of questions about life around the volcanic lands of Mount Blaroar. Pyrox was deeply charmed by her curiosity and infatuated by her innocence and feminine nature.

After the friends had finished trading, they prepared to leave, but Pyrox promised to remain in contact with Rosytha and meet her again one day.
​
They spent more time together, meeting in places between their homes. Often Shadowrock Canyon. Despite their differences, they grew to fall in love. When the volcanions learned Pyrox had won the heart of a floralien and made friends with the Hillanders, they finally acknowledged him. However, Pyrox did not need their approval or attention anymore. He had friends, a wonderful lover, and a forever home with his people. Though he was a common volcanion, at last he felt special.

Powers and Abilities:
​​
Like all volcanions, Pyrox can summon lava from his body as well as the earth. He cannot cause massive eruptions but can crack the ground and summon small bursts and streams. His body also gives off constant warmth. His fire element is quite powerful compared to most others but is considered average among volcanions. His fire attacks come in several varieties such as fire balls, bursts, and whips. When his emotions run high in battle, he is capable of unleashing an explosion of fire from his body, blasting everyone and everything around him in a massive shockwave.

His physical strength is stronger than most, but again, considered average among volcanions. He can overpower many opponents slightly larger than him. Including large beasts. He has skills in wrestling, which is common among islander volcanions. His claws are also impressive for combat. Sharp and potentially hot to the touch, they can cut through flesh and scales with ease and leave burning cuts.

Pyrox's special skill is one nearly all volcanions have. He has a high tolerance to pain and tough, leather-like skin that is strong against sharpness and blunt force. He is also practically immune to heat and fire. Like all volcanions, he has a weakness to ice cold water. Being submerged or thoroughly doused in icy water will weaken his elemental power and slow down his movements.

Personality
Pyrox is, for the most part, a pleasant, friendly, and good-natured young man. However, he does enjoy being charming and sometimes can't resist flexing his muscles. Both literally and figuratively. He is proud of his volcanion heritage despite being considered average among them. Though he is not one to brag maliciously, he does enjoy satisfying others' curiosity of his ways and abilities.
​
Pyrox is bold and confident among those he knows best, but secretly insecure when encountered with those he feels are superior. Especially other volcanions. Villagers who are stronger, braver, and higher in social status than him make him uneasy at times.
​
Pyrox is very protective of his loved ones. Especially Rosytha. He becomes enraged when other mistreat them. Surprisingly, he will not hesitate to stand up to his fellow volcanions if they abuse his friends, which is rare among his race.

Extra Facts:
Pyrox had a grandfather who was lavaborne​. Due to being unwilling to test himself, Pyrox is unaware if he is lavaborne or not.
His favorite food is well burned chicken.
​
Like all the volcanions of Rownland, Pyrox is half islander, half hispanic. He speaks in a slight Spanish accent and speaks Spanish.
